At it again.....This time in the NT

Just seeing if a post can be added from the mobile. Last night was spent at Narromine, went to the aviation, very interesting. It was 3 degrees this morning. We are now on the road heading for Broken Hill. As this method of updating is car sickness making, I'm going to stop.

Get the vomit bag out quick. Sounds like a great trip. We'll be doing that sort of thing when we eventually get onto the road in Australia. Have a blast and stay safe. Barb xx :)

Exactly where are we going?

We had planned on travelling up to Innaminka then getting into the NT from there, but there are roads closed due to flooding so we have had to do a rethink.
So the rough plan for now is...
We leave Sydney and go to Broken Hill via Dubbo and Nyngan. From there we will cross into SA, on to Peterborough, where we turn north and travel on to Marree via Leigh Creek. At Marree we will take the Oodnadatta Track and eventually connect up with the Stuart Highway at Marla.
Still going up we will cross into the NT and veer left to Yulara for a few days at Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
On the road again we will head to Kings Canyon and then take the Mereenie Loop through to Glen Helen before heading in to Alice Springs for a break of a few days.
After that we will stay pretty much on the Stuart Highway all the way through to Darwin. We will deviate off in places, yet to be determined.
After Darwin, having replenished our minds, body, food and beer we then propose to head out to Jabiru for a few days in Kakadu. Then back on the highway again, this time going south, we will turn at Mataranka to go east to Roper Bar and down to Cape Crawford.
Depending on road conditions we will either go east to Borroloola or south to Barkly Homestead. Either way we plan to end up in Queensland at Mt Isa.
From there we will make our way over to the coast at Townsville and follow the coast back down to Sydney.
Phew, after this long drive I think we will deserve a holiday!!!
